Why Love is Better

Three years back there was a real movement about
being mean in relationships because people of low
self esteem expected it, and it was especially aimed
at women.  At the time I was teaching an
undergrad psych class, that's a scary thought isn't it;
and actually brought some of these CD's into class
to let them listen to this mess.Well, it was just that,
and I really felt it was so demeaning, only
here is the problem; the techniques do work.
That's a problem because they are techniques,
not who you are, but something that you do.

Sort of like when people write about stuff just
because they need to be writing another article
so they will get paid?  Kind of like when the
Cheesey nature of modern publishing forces
those who actually do have talent to become
"more productive," meaning, "put out more
articles or else."
Then people wonder where the genius writers
of the past went, here's an answer- they didn't go anywhere.
Capitalist pig editor's (CPE's) tethered them to a
machine for bucks! They just have to eat like
everyone else- but while those CPE's received
raise on top of raise on top of raise, the writers
who put them there, didn't. They have to write for a living, and
CPE's demand; sometimes, way too much of it for them to survive.

So what do you want reader, quality, or quantity, because, here
is an odd fact, when it comes to writing and the pace of the
human performing it, you can't get both; and today, we
stack on top of that video.  We expect our leaders and those
who contribute to our niche's to produce not only top notch
writing but also, top notch multi-media, and when they don't,
we blithely pass them off.  Want to know what happens when
really good writers get treated like that?  So then who do you
end up reading- you end up reading who corporate controlled
editorship wants you to read, because you brought that on,
because you did not choose your favorite local writers and
see to it that they got paid commensurate with their art.

Is there an answer for us as readers, certainly in the case
of my favorites, usually I try to purchase at least one if
not two of their articles or books per month; why(?), if
only so that, if everyone else did that, they'd have a
reasonably good month? Folks this isn't easy to say, and
it's not about me, this about the writers that are good;
that share with me, with us, those talents.
And how, because times are tough
right now, they are, many times, a low priority- and
we don't think of art, usually; as much as we think of
Milk? Groceries take a priority over art, and that's
almost natural, isn't it?

Love isn't natural, love is better; natural is to drink the
Milk, and the priority for survival gets met, love says,
"hey, we can drink one less glass a day, put that
two dollars back, and buy one of Ned's articles."
That isn't natural, but it is, love.  Love is better, and
this article has suggested by some illustrations from
life, why that is so, why love is better.  Now the
real question becomes, do you agree and will you
act upon that?  Or do you disagree and will you
act upon that?  Take a stand, and when you do,
you will find why love is better.

"KAPOW" - "SHARUM" and my personal

Batman, how are we gonna get out of this?"
Remember that, DC Comics(C), still exists,
but today they make, films. "Wall crawling
sucker," Marvel Comics(C) and
"Spidey," another one of my favorites,
don't know about you, but I lived to get
my hands on the next SpiderMan(C)
issue, forget English, who cares when
you got PeterParker, right?

Today, however, Marvel, which still
does wonders with comics, is into, films?
FaceBook the absolute rave

large chunk of the U.S. in your listening

the really cool part, it's based on, you guessed
it- social media, which is based on, wait for it...

Social Media Is You And You Are Responding

CNN.COM  click to go to link for image above
There used to be a saying that the United States was the most giving nation on the planet.  What has happened to that saying, does it still hold true, or, are we losing ground?  Looking at this picture, the answer is obvious, isn't it?  If we go by what we hear on some of the news channels in the U.S. but broadcasting international news. we'd have to conclude differently than this chart.

It then becomes a different discussion because all of a sudden the United States that isn't kind and caring is suddenly seen in an entirely new light.
When looking at this graph it is hard not to see the United States as out- giving the closest giving nation by three or more to one, when one considers that, it ought to evoke two distinct emotions.  1)  A feeling of "hooray," for the U.S.?  2)  A feeling of wanting to get in on the giving ones self, if one is able, if one sees it as valuable?  Are those two feelings present in you when you see that chart?  If they aren't it doesn't mean you aren't a good person, it does mean that it is quite possible that the U.S. socio-cultural milieu is changing more rapidly than was anticipated.

Social Media gets into the mix because the large level donations, the enormous amounts of money, flow into the donations centers, it isn't a question that until now, folks paid particular attention to.  But with the recent status of economies world wide, the difficulties with Greece, the changes taking place in a U.S. economy mired in bad political bail-outs and faulty home markets; it's becoming more so. One of the primary means that exist to measure such things are surveys.  The main question of this writing is whether those conditions have impacted upon you, and whether that has affected your giving?  Does the fact that such isn't measured seem odd to you?  We keep records, for example, when someone mails in a check, tax records are kept of such, but in this instance, the total contributing power of the web is seemingly being ignored?  You may know a lot more about this, or would be willing to look into it and contribute some knowledge to this search?

Finally we close with this video which we hope brings the discussion to some other level:

Point being in wrap up, you are giving, but are you as a person who is involved in social media, getting recognized for that contribution as you should? Let us know what you think?
